About the event
Brilliant conductor and Double Bassist John Keene returns to lead FCO in a splendid program. Vanhal's seldom heard Concerto for Double Bass has been described as "a sparkling work, with clear melodies, positive energy and a beautiful Adagio." Bach's Art of the Fugue (BWV 1080) is an enigma in that it was unfinished, we do not know which instruments it was intended for, nor even if it was to be performed. The intricate fugues (1, 3 and 4) are touchingly intimate and introspective. New York based WA composer Michael Grebla's "Sfidare" is a World Premiere. Simply beautiful, be part of its history. And finally, Mozart's glorious Symphony 29 - enjoy! Tickets visit Trybooking or call Natalie on 0438 933 250 Adult $40 Concession $35 Under 18's $20 Tix also available at the door from 2pm
