About the event
This Fundraiser performance is a collaboration of Ukrainian and WA musicians including FCO as well as recently arrived Ukrainian refugees. It is an initiative of Diana Teplyj. There is even the chance to taste some Ukrainian delicacies.
On the program violinist Paul Wright and accordion player Myroslav Gutej (the Kashtany Duo) start with Eastern Ukrainian European gypsy tunes. Amazing cellist, 17 year old Max Wung, performs the Prelude of Bach 6th Solo Suite. Fremantle Chamber Orchestra presents some of Mozart’s most loved and uplifting tunes and Bach’s Air on G. Astounding 12 year old Ellie Malonzo plays the Prelude of Bach’s 3rd Partita. Elie then brings the magic Romance by Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko to life. Continuing with Ukrainian tunes, Irina Buevska-Cowell and Anastasiya Dudar, the Duo Brillante, play the touching and gentle Melodia by Skoryk and Romance by Kos-Anatolsky.
